Mental Health Counseling and Substance Use Treatment Services
for Individuals and Families in Prineville, Bend, and Redmond, Oregon.
Our History:
The administration, board of directors, and team of professionals at Rimrock Trails are dedicated to helping create lasting, positive change in the lives of individuals and families. Rimrock Trails was established as a nonprofit, adolescent residential substance use program at the Prineville Pioneer Memorial Hospital in 1990. Four years later the organization acquired property on 9th Street in Prineville where the flagship program currently operates. A second building was constructed on the property in 1998 to house outpatient services, administrative offices, a learning center, indoor rock climbing wall, gym, and weight room. We now operate comprehensive outpatient care in three areas throughout Central Oregon for individuals under age 25, and we are approaching three decades of service. Rimrock Trails now leads the system of care for addressing substance use and mental health disorders of young adults in our region.
In 2019, we expanded our outpatient services to include mental health treatment for both young children and adults.

“I joined Rimrock Trails in 2019 as a consultant and was thrilled when I was asked to be a full-time employee. What impresses me most about Rimrock Trails is that the company allows me to wear multiple hats, empowers me with the freedom to make decisions, and has a multi-talented workforce to team up with. Another great thing about working with Rimrock Trails is that a “typical day” is never typical. There is always something exciting happening and every day is filled with new learning opportunities. I have a lot to be thankful for.”
– Michelle Duff, Community Relations Manager, Rimrock Trails
I joined the Rimrock Trails Team as a residential therapist LPC, CADC III in August of 2023. I began substance use disorder counseling in 2015 and then received by master’s in professional counseling in 2019 from Liberty University, which allowed me to expand my career focus on co-occurring disorders. I am very passionate and love the work I do. I feel extremely blessed to work for an organization that coincides with my strength-based collaborative non-punitive therapeutic approaches aimed at co-occurring mental health disorders with the adolescent population. The individualized approach allows the therapist to adjust to the specific needs of the client and with the help of a fantastic therapeutic team provide foundational components that are evident by our client success. I love the organization and the mission which is profoundly client focused.
